Account Structure
Solana Index Fund uses a wallet-based account system that links your Solana wallet to a user profile. This allows for a seamless experience while maintaining the security and sovereignty of your assets.

Creating an Account
Creating an account on Solana Index Fund is simple and only requires a Solana wallet. Follow these steps to get started:
- Connect your Solana wallet using the "Connect Wallet" button in the header
- Sign the authentication message when prompted
- Your account is automatically created upon successful authentication
- Navigate to the Profile page to customize your profile information (username, avatar, email, etc.)
Note: Your wallet address serves as your unique identifier in the system. No email or password is required for registration.
Profile Management
Once your account is created, you can manage your profile information through the Profile page. This includes:
Personal Information
- Username
- Display name
- Profile picture
- Email address (optional)
- Bio/About me
Wallet Management
- View connected wallets
- Add additional wallets
- Set primary wallet
- Remove wallets
To update your profile, navigate to the Settings page and use the profile form to make changes. All changes are saved automatically.
Account Security
Solana Index Fund takes security seriously. Here are the security features implemented to protect your account:
Security Features
- Wallet-based authentication: Your wallet's cryptographic capabilities ensure only you can access your account through message signing using Ed25519 signatures
- Message signing: Authentication is performed via Solana's signMessage API, which creates cryptographically secure signatures without exposing private keys
- No private key storage: We never store or request your private keys or seed phrases
- Database security: Row-level security policies ensure your data is only accessible to you
Remember: Never share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone, including Solana Index Fund team members. We will never ask for this information.
Account Activity
Your account dashboard displays your recent activity, including:
- Presale participation
- Staking transactions
- Redemption events
- Profile updates
This activity log helps you keep track of your interactions with the Solana Index Fund platform and provides transparency for all account-related actions.
